For those who want to teach English abroad, Japan offers a very safe environment. In fact, Japan is among the safest countries in the world. The Global Peace Index ranks Japan as #5, ahead of both Canada (#8) and the United States (#96). The country has a low crime rate and high political stability, so male and female travelers should feel comfortable exploring the cities and countryside. Discovering the country’s many great attractions and resources is one great benefits of teaching English in Japan. In case you get sick or injured, Japan’s hospitals offer excellent medical care. If you have a medical emergency, call 119 and speak slowly and clearly.
